Senators are students who represent Fullerton College students and have full voting power in the Student Senate. Being a senator is a larger time commitment and requires attendance during senate on Tuesdays from 1:30 to 3:00 pm in addition to serving on at least two committees. To hold this office, students must be elected during the Fall or Spring elections. If open seats are still available following each election cycle, then senators may be appointed if they are eligible.
Reps are student leaders who promote upcoming events and support Club and Student Senate events. They are voting members of the committee(s) they join or are appointed to by the Student Senate. Becoming a Rep is a good first step when joining the Associated Students to learn about shared government, campus policies, and district guidelines. Reps are not voted by the students at large but are confirmed by joining the committee(s) of their choice if they are eligible. Student Representatives do not need to go through the election process since they serve primarily on subcommittees.
