“Hello Hornets! My name is Melissa Castaneda and I am running for the position of Inter-Club Council President. I was once a student who only commuting to and from the college strictly to attend class. It wasn’t until I immersed myself in club activities that I felt as though I was getting a more fulfilling college experience. In the fall semester of 2014 I was elected to the Public Relations Secretary position for Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society. In the spring semester of 2015 I was elected as the President of Phi Theta Kappa. During that semester I also attended the ICC meetings as an alt rep while our ICC rep was preparing for transfer. I am still currently serving as PTK President as well as wrapping up one year as a Fullerton College Student Ambassador. Club life and student activities on campus are thriving! If elected as your ICC President I will use my leadership skills to collaborate with clubs, administration, departments, and campus services to make 2016-17 a great year here at Fullerton College.”
